Fabric: Form and Performance:

The "Modular Frame Metro Station" is another outcome of student research from the class.  Here Pratt Architecture student Jun Pak worked with a skin and skeleton system that relied heavily on the CNC fabric cutting capabilities of the sponsor Sperry Sails.  The strength of this early proposal was it's dynamic surface, and the intended inclusion of photovoltaics and LED's for lighting.  Ultimately however, the three dimensional form of this ambitious proposal  was too reliant on a skeletal system and the fabric relegated to a simple wrapping condition that did not satisfy the parameters of the seminar.
